Welcome to the GESA Colonoscopy Recertification Program
The program provides for triennial recertification. It is designed to support practitioners in:
Hospitals and day facilities must ensure that their practitioners are recertified to meet the new requirements of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards for their accreditation.
The program has been developed over several years and brings Australia into line with international trends and with increasing consumer expectations regarding medical professionals.
Participation in the program is limited to colonoscopists practising in Australia and who have CCRTGE recognition of their training in adult or paediatric colonoscopy.

The Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA) and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS) are delighted to announce they have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in relation to RACS’ involvement in the GESA Recertification in Colonoscopy Program (RCP).
